Jane Schutz
Nominated Supervisor & Teacher – Diploma in Teaching Early Childhood (0 to 8 years)
Nominated Supervisor & Teacher – Diploma in Teaching Early Childhood (0 to 8 years)
Jane trained in South Australia and worked for 8 years as head teacher, teaching in Child Parent Centres (Preschools) and 6 years teaching in Junior Primary Schools focusing on the first 3 years of formal education as a classroom teacher with a focus on environmental education and technology. She moved with her family to Armidale in 1997. In 1998 she was elected President of the Board of Management of St Peters Preschool, a position she held for 12 months. Jane was appointed to the position of part-time teacher at St Peter’s Preschool in May 2000. Jane took on the role of Director in 2016 and now works full time.

Miranda Hamparsum
Certificate III in Early Childhood Education and Care/Office Administration
Miranda completed her Certificate III in Early Childhood Education and Care in 2020. She has worked in the office at St Peters since 2018 and began working as an Educator as well in 2020. Miranda has two children. In her spare time she enjoying gardening and reading.

Mel Martin
Diploma in Children’s Services
Mel has had over 10 years’ experience working in early childhood from ages 0-6 year olds. Through this time she has worked as a Lead Educator and Educational Leader which has provided her with knowledge and experience to facilitate children’s learning and development. Mel has 2 children and loves spending as much time with them as she can. Her interests include music, photography and gardening. Mel wishes to further her studies over the next few years by doing her Bachelor of Early Childhood Education.

Jill Petrov
Bachelor of Teaching Early Childhood, Ass Diploma in Children's Services, Cert IV TAE
Jill moved to Armidale after school to complete her Associate Diploma in Children's Services, and to be closer to her now husband. She then worked in a Long day care service as Group Leader for 8 years, while also completing her Bachelor of Teaching Early Childhood externally through UNE. Jill then had 3 girls, during which time she taught part time at TAFE NE in ECEC for another 8 years also completing her Certificate IV in Training and Assessment. The 5 years following, Jill moved into Early Intervention teaching with children with additional needs in 2 different local services, and has spent the last 3 years working and continues to work with children and families who are participants of the NDIS.

Louise Valente
Bachelor of Education ECE/Primary
After completing her degree at the University of Wollongong, Louise spent a couple of years travelling overseas and around Australia. During this time she also lived in London and taught children in preschool and primary schools.
Louise moved to Armidale in 2007 with her husband and they now have two children. She has worked in early childhood for the past ten years as both a teacher and a director.

Georgia Hamiliton
Certificate III in Early Childhood Education and Care
Georgia completed her Certificate III in Early Childhood and Education in 2021. She has previously worked in long day care. She joined the St Peters Preschool team at the beginning of 2023. Georgia enjoys reading and painting.

Robbie Murphy
Certificate III in Early Childhood Education and Care/Office Administration
Robbie is currently working towards her Diploma of Early Childhood Education and Care. She has a background in healthcare, and since changing professions has been working in early childhood and out of school hours care.

Lee Sillitoe
Certificate III Children's Services
Lee completed her Certificate III in Children's Services in 2010. She has been working in Long Day Care and Early Learning Centres for 10 years. Lee would like to further her education by completing her Diploma.
Lee has 2 children and enjoys spending time with them, she also enjoys camping and reading.

Rachel Betts
Certificate III in Early Childhood Education and Care
Rachel worked in environmental science early in her career. She received her Certificate III in Early Childhood Education and Care in 2018, after her daughter attended a long day care centre and she realised what an amazing career choice working in early childcare was.
Rachel loves spending time with her family and reading.

Polly Kennelly
Diploma in Children’s Services
Polly is Diploma trained with over 10 years experience in the Early Childhood sector. After several years working in Canberra in various roles Polly has returned to Armidale. Polly has worked mostly with 0-5 year olds.
Polly enjoys gardening, pottery and music in her spare time.

Rachael Jones
Certificate III in Early Childhood Education and Care
Rachael began her career in the early childhood industry in 2020 and completed her Certificate III in 2023. She joined St Peters in July 2024 and is now close to completing her diploma in Early Childhood Education and Care.
Rachael enjoys camping, gardening, painting, sewing and creating collages.

Diploma of Early Childhood Education and Care
Katelin completed her Diploma of Early Childhood Education and Care in 2025. She began working at St Peters in 2024. Katelin loves her dogs, and going camping and fishing in her spare time.

Amber completed her Certificate III in Early Childhood Education and Care in 2025. She began working at St Peters Preschool in 2025. Amber has 4 children, and enjoys camping and outdoor sports in her spare time.

Shanon completed her Diploma of Early Childhood Education and Care in 2022. She began working at St Peters Preschool in 2025. Shanon has 3 children. She loves dogs, and she enjoys cooking and craft in her spare time.
