Nominated Supervisor & Teacher – Diploma in Teaching Early Childhood (0 to 8 years)
Jane trained in South Australia and worked for 8 years as head teacher, teaching in Child Parent Centres (Preschools) and 6 years teaching in Junior Primary Schools focusing on the first 3 years of formal education as a classroom teacher with a focus on environmental education and technology. She moved with her family to Armidale in 1997. In 1998 she was elected President of the Board of Management of St Peter’s Preschool, a position she held for 12 months. Jane was appointed to the position of part-time teacher at St Peter’s Preschool in May 2000. Jane took on the role of Director in 2016 and now works full time. She is the leader for the Red Group.
Teacher – Bachelor of Teaching Early Childhood, B.A Dip.Ed, J.P.
Upon completion of her Early Childhood Degree through Macquarie University, Sharron held the position as Director of a community based preschool in Armidale for 14 years. She then taught at TAFE NE Early Childhood campus followed by nearly 5 years at St Peter’s Preschool as Director/Educator. Sharron left this position in February 2014 and worked casually as an educator in preschools. Sharron is delighted to be the Purple Group leader along with Louise. Sharron works part time - Fridays.
Advanced Qualified Child Care Worker – Diploma in Children’s Services
Nat moved to Armidale with her young family in 2007. She has worked in a variety of Early Childhood settings as a nanny, out of school hours and vacation care, childcare worker and teacher’s aide for over 20 years. Nat has been involved with St Peter’s since her daughter attended in 2011 – 2012. In the past few years Nat has been a parent at the preschool, a board member, a student and an employee since joining the staff in Term 1 2014. Nat is responsible for the Green Group. Nat is also the Educational Leader. She is studying a Bachelor of Education (Early Childhood Education) at UNE.
Certificate III in Children’s Services
Jodi joined the St Peers team in 2018. She has had a long association with preschool as two of her three adult children attended the service. Jodi completed her Certificate III in Children’s Services in 2014. She has worked in schools and other Early Childhood centres in Armidale. Jodi has a passion for children’s music and plays the acoustic guitar and piano. She is particularly influenced by the Kodaly method of musical education. Jodi supports all educators and works from 11 to 2:30 each day.
Diploma in Children’s Services
Mel has had 10 years’ experience working in early childhood from ages 0-6 year olds. Through this time she has worked as a Lead Educator and Educational Leader which has provided her with knowledge and experience to facilitate children’s learning and development. Mel has 2 young children and loves spending as much time with them as she can. Her interests include music and photography Mel wishes to further her studies over the next few years by doing her Bachelor of Early Childhood Education.
Mel will be the Leader of the Blue group

Diploma of Early Childhood Education and Care
Originally from a small town called Gulgong, Kate moved to Armidale in 2008 to attend University. In 2011 she graduated with a Bachelor of Social Science. Since then she has lived in several different places trying out different career avenues but in 2014 Kate decided that childcare was where she was supposed to be. Kate moved back to Armidale at the end of 2014 to be closer to family. She finished her Certificate III in June 2015 and has been employed at St Peters since the beginning of term 4 2015. Kate has completed her Diploma and her goal is to someday complete her bachelor degree. Kate supports all the groups at the preschool.
Bachelor of Education ECE/Primary
After completing her degree at the University of Wollongong, Louise spent a couple of years travelling overseas and around Australia. During this time she also lived in London and taught children in preschool and primary schools.
Louise moved to Armidale in 2007 with her husband and they now have two young children. She has worked in long day care for the past ten years as both a teacher and a director. Louise works part time, co sharing the Purple Group with Sharron on Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday .

Miranda has two young children, a son in Kindergarten and a daughter who is in year 3 at school. She has previously worked in both childcare and medical administration. Miranda is assisting Jane in the office part time. Miranda is studying her Certificate 3 in Education and Care Children's services
