Sharron Ribeiro  

Director / Teacher - Bachelor Arts; Diploma Education; Bachelor Education Early Childhood Macquarie University; Certificate IV TAA; JP.

Sharron was appointed to the position of Director at St Peter’s Preschool in July 2009. She had been the Director of another community based, not-for-profit local preschool for over 14 years. She is currently the President of PEDAL [Promoting Early Development & Learning] early intervention programme. Sharron has recently worked as a teacher of Children’s Services at Armidale TAFE [2008]. In 2008 Sharron received an Early Childhood Australia conference scholarship for her significant contributions to children and their families in NSW.

Jane Schutz

Teacher - Diploma in Teaching  Early Childhood

Jane trained in South Australia & has 8 years experience teaching in Child Parent Centres (Preschools) & 6 years teaching experience in Junior Primary Schools in South Australia . She moved with her family to Armidale in 1997. In 1998 she was elected President of the Board of Management of St Peter’s Preschool, a position she held for 12 months. Jane was appointed to the position of part-time teacher at St Peter’s Preschool in May 2000. Jane has been involved in many local community based organisations - past committee member of Armidale Toy Library & Galloway Children’s Centre.  

Megan Cutler

Advanced Qualified Child Care Worker - Assoc Diploma in Social Science Child Studies

Megan grew up in Armidale. She began her work with children at Kingsford Kindergarten in Sydney & also worked at Little Nipper’s at Bondi before returning ‘home’. Her work in Armidale includes two years at Tiny Town Child Care Centre & seven years at Penny’s Child Care Centre at Invergowrie. Parent of Matilda… & in her spare time Megan is in the throes of renovating house & garden, & enjoys cinema. She is a graduate of St Peter’s Preschool & joined the staff in 2003!

Melanie White

Advanced Qualified Child Care Worker –Diploma in Children’s Services

Melanie has lived in the Armidale area for over 21 years and completed her child care studies in 2004. Melanie has had six years experience working in the child care industry, most recently as the Authorised Supervisor for three years at Little Bear Child Care Cottage. Melanie is an advocate for inclusive practice and has had extensive experience supporting children with additional needs in early childhood settings.

Nea Stanley

Child Care Worker - Child Care Certificate

Nea was appointed to the staff in January 2006. Nea has been involved with the Preschool for many years as a regular casual staff and as a parent helper. Two of Nea’s four daughters attended St Peter’s Preschool. Nea has worked at a number of Armidale early childhood services. She has also worked as a teacher’s aide in government and private primary schools in Armidale.

Karrina Williamson

Bursar, Administration & Financial Support & Child Care Worker - Diploma in Practice Management

Karrina previously worked at Dewhurst Dental for 10 years. Highlights during this time were the completion of numerous certificates – including practice Management with UNE Partnerships and being a volunteer with ADRA as part of a national dental team to Nepal . Karrina’s main job now is being mother to her two wonderful boys. During 2006-7 Karrina has worked as a Child Care Worker for the Yarm Gwanga Vacation Care Programme. She was appointed to the role of Bursar at St Peter’s Preschool in 2007.

Amity Curtis

Advanced Qualified Child Care Worker - Diploma in Children’s Services

Amity graduated from Armidale TAFE in 2007. She grew up in Armidale and attended Armidale City Public and Armidale High Schools . Amity also worked part-time at Caffiends on the Mall as a barista while she was a student – she makes great coffee! In her spare time she enjoys all types of sporting activities, cooking and gardening. Amity was appointed to the staff at St Peter’s Preschool in March 2008.
